Mid-term exam for Eagles and Panthers— Carolina at Philly, PS 2, Livefyre tailgate party…

Got the tailgate set up with beverages and grilled goodies… Glad you could come!

Carolina Panthers (1-0-0)  vs.  Philadelphia Eagles (0-1-0)

7:30 PM ET, August 15, 2013

Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA

The game's on local Philly TV (Channel 6) and WIP Radio, but not NFLN Live.

I won't belabor the talking points. Our smart phans will cover them much better than I. See the Livefyre commentary below. If you would like to get into the convo, just go to www.livefyre.com and create your free unique identity. It only takes a minute.

If you've been out of the Chip Kelly/Iggles loop for awhile, here are some basic ESPN-style primers to catch you up:
Philadelphia Eagles' Phillip Hunt undergoes ACL surgery
A fourth Philadelphia Eagles player has suffered an ACL injury during this training camp.
Rivera not worried about future with Panthers
Panthers coach Ron Rivera isn't feeling any additional pressure this season to win.

A lot of stuff to evaluate tonight besides just the quarterbacks…In fact, our own GK Brizer thinks the performance of Mike Vick in the 2nd quarter will be worthy of more critical focus than Foles in the starter role. But keep an eye on the Eagles' linebackers, especially on the outside. Oh there's so much to see… Take it away, smart phans!
